Hamilton Olympic Club

Coaches from the Hamilton Olympic Club and Stoney Creek Athletics will be selecting the track and field athletes that will represent Team Hamilton at this year’s CANUSA Games.  Approximately 40 athletes will be selected to travel and compete in Flint, Michigan the weekend of August 9-11.  We would like to extend an invitation to our Youth Development Program and Intermediate Program members to join Team Hamilton and participate in these friendly Games!

Background: For over 60 years the CANUSA Games have been providing youth from our area the opportunity to take part in an international sports competition between Hamilton, Ontario and Flint, Michigan. This multi-sports event currently brings together over 700 athletes to participate in a friendly rivalry involving 14 sports including track and field.

Summer program:This year Team Hamilton will be traveling by bus to Michigan to take on Team Flint on their home turf the weekend of August 9-11.  Our athletes will be billeted (hosted) by their Flint counterpart’s family for the weekend.  Parents of Team Hamilton athletes are encouraged to travel to Flint, meet the family billeting their child, stay in a local hotel and attend the track and field competition to cheer on Team Hamilton.
