1928 Canadian Olympic Trials hosted by HOC
Check out this fascinating footage from the 1928 Canadian Olympic Trials hosted by our Club right here in Hamilton, at the site of today’s Tim Horton’s field. In the background you can see King George School and houses on the surrounding streets, many of which are still there today. At 2:02 there’s an interview with Phil Edwards, “one of the greatest half milers in the world” at the time and an HOC member. He’s wearing the HOC logo! If only the sound were available! Thanks for finding this footage Rhona!
